Digital Learning Day Participants
Thirteen 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders showcased technology they have used this school year. Summaries of their presentations and photos can be found below. Look for audio comments from students on what they thought of the showcase.
Prezi Presentation tool
This fourth grade student showed how her group used Prezi, a presentation tool, to look at the Native American tribes in Wisconsin. She showed students and teachers how they created the Prezi along with going over the content in the Prezi.

This fifth grade student showed a Prezi she had created. She explained how she put it together and why she chose the elements she did for it.
Glogster (Online Interactive Poster)
This 5th grade student showed other students and teachers how to create a Glogster from logging into her account to adding elements into the program. She showed how you can use the tools inside the program to be creative. She used the Air Mac to create her Glog.
Kindle
This third grade student showed other students and teachers how to navigate the Kindle to play educational games and to download and read a book. Many students received Kindles for Christmas so this was a big hit.

A third grade student showed how she practices math facts using a site called SumDog. Students have competitions across the district and within our building against other students. They are able to customize their avatar to make it their own.

iPad Apps: Spelling City
This third grade student is demonstrating how to use the Spelling City app her teacher uses in the classroom. Teachers are able to customize and enter in their weekly spelling lists so that students can practice them on the ipad.

This third grade student is showing the app called Stack the States. A question comes up about a state and you have four different states to choose from. If you get the answer right you can stack the state on the bottom of the page. The object of the game is to answer the questions correctly so you can stack the states on top of each other to reach the line or go over it.

This fourth grade student is explaining how he gets better at math by using different math apps on his ipad.
Student Google Account
This fourth grade student is showing how to get into her google account and get to her mail and documents. She is using an Air Mac to get to her account. Students can access their accounts from school, home or any computer with Internet access.
Smart Notebooks Software: Timeline
This fourth grade student is showing how he did his research for a Wisconsin biography. he used the State Historical society, the Internet and a biography on the person found in the library and his classroom. He goes through the steps in how he put his timeline together and gave tips to remember while doing this.
PowerPoint
This student combined all the different tools she has used and put it into one powerpoint to share with everyone. She showed how she has been using Google Docs, Glogster, and SumDog to name a few and of course she powerpoint and linked to all of her projects.
